Kudos to you for volunteering on such a grueling day. My hubby and I were there, but as lazy spectators we'd escape to the luxury of shade and AC for periods throughout the day.
The competitors were inspiring. And the volunteers made it all possible!
He ran with his HELMET AND BIKE SHOES on? Is it considered outside assistance if you scream, "DITCH THE HELMET, DUDE!!" ;-)

Actually, I think he must have just run by the helmet strippers-it was a new concept they were trying out since the wet suit strippers worked so well.
So did you sign up for next year? I heard the race filled in 7 hours. I was also there and am so pumped up. What a high just watching, can't image how it must feel to round that last corner, looking at that finish and being surounded by your family and friends.
