We took a family vacation in Feb to Florida's gulf, not far from the staging location for IMFL '06. At the time I had no idea I would be contemplating a 2.4 mile swim in that very ocean-but now I can at least visualize that dream.

Yup, funny how time can change your perspective, isn't it? I agree though, I went back home this weekend and did an old running route I use to think was long (about 2.5miles) as I breezed through it this time to do a 5 miler I just kind of thought of how much I have changed since taking up this sport in relation to what is "far" and what is "short".
